"I am an Agronomist Engineer specialized in coffee cultivation with an MBA studied in Barcelona. This unique combination has allowed me to blend my agricultural expertise with business management.
Proudly Guatemalteco, I have 8 years of experience in the coffee industry and currently manage two coffee farms.
Our family farm continues the tradition of maintaining the high-quality coffee that the Antigua Guatemala region is renowned for. I am passionate about the coffee sector and remain committed to being actively involved in all aspects of it."
Antigua Guatemala (The Old Guatemala), founded in the early 16th century, was the capital of Guatemala for over 230 years. Situated 1,500m above sea level, its baroque-inspired architecture earned it a UNESCO World Heritage designation in 1979. Antigua is, perhaps, Guatemala’s best-known coffee growing region.
The area’s volcanic soil, low humidity, abundant sunlight, and cool nights create ideal conditions for producing some of the world’s finest coffees. The valley around Antigua is encircled by three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Fuego, one of Guatemala’s three active volcanoes, periodically adds a fresh dusting of mineral-rich ash to the soil. 🌋 ✨
Some of Antigua’s coffee farms are small, family-run businesses passed down through generations. These passionate farmers use traditional methods to handpick and process the coffee cherries, preserving the authenticity and quality that makes Antigua coffee exceptional. 😍
Today, Antigua’s coffee is recognized worldwide, celebrated for its unique taste and cultural significance. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just curious, the next time you enjoy a cup from Antigua, you're sipping a piece of history. 🙌🏼
